Sussex Conference for Young Christians

Encouraging young Christians in their faith

This day conference meets in the spring and autumn of each year and is sponsored by Ebenezer Reformed Baptist Church Brighton and Hailsham Baptist Church.

It began in 1999 and arose out of a concern for young people from small churches who needed Christian fellowship and encouragement among their own peer group and continues to try and meet those needs today.

We meet around God’s Word to hear it taught and explained by a number of speakers both well known and less well known seeking to work out and emphasise its relevance to today’s generation and society.

We believe it is also important to know where we have come from and so periodically we devote time to people who have influenced our Christian heritage and important events that have taken place in the history of the Christian church. We remind ourselves that those who forget their history will repeat the mistakes made in the past.
